Project Description:

The Consultant shall be responsible for the Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Yazlik Junction Construction. This project includes a total of 5 new stream crossing bridges, 1 underpass for vehicles and pedestrians connecting Sabahattin Zaim Boulevard to Çevre Yolu Street, 1 post-tensioned bridge extending in the north-south direction (from Farabi Street to Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim Boulevard), 2 pedestrian underpasses, 3 pedestrian overpasses, soil improvement works and infrastructure, lighting and landscape works. The bridge has 3 lanes in each direction, including 2 through lanes and 1 auxiliary lane for merging and diverging traffic plus 1 lane in each direction dedicated for public transport (metrobus).

The Project area is located at the intersection of Adapazarı and Serdivan districts. Yazlık Intersection has a modern roundabout structure and is connected to 7 different arms

Services Provided:

  • Part 1.  Tasks prior to start of construction works:

Oversee and ensure the contractor’s full compliance with contract, technical, legal, and environmental/social requirements by reviewing and approving plans, documents, personnel, and permits; verifying technical accuracy and quantities; coordinating stakeholders; and supporting safeguards, land acquisition processes, and reporting to prevent risks and disputes. Review and approval of mobilization plan, methodology and material procurement schedule, Contractor’s OHS Plan

  • Part 2. Tasks during construction:

2.1 Supervision tasks

Oversee construction execution by approving and monitoring work programs, materials, QA/QC, and drawings; supervising inspections, testing, and compliance with technical, environmental, social, and OHS requirements; managing risks, accidents, grievances, and land issues; certifying payments and completion; handling variations and claims; coordinating with authorities; and supporting project handover, reporting, and sustainability assessments. The Consultant will assist and provide the necessary technical information about the projects to the Client and ILBANK for their assessing the energy efficiency and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions and Calculations if requested by the Client and ILBANK.

2.2 Administration of the Civil Works Contracts

Manage contract finances and cash flow forecasting; monitor insurance and guarantees; operate the project management system; track progress, quantities, and site activities; compare planned vs actual performance; certify payments; and ensure proper reporting, documentation, and meeting coordination.

2.3 Administration of Environmental, Social, Health and Safety (ESHS)

Ensure the Contractor’s environmental, social, health, and safety (ESHS) compliance by reviewing and updating plans and documents; conducting audits and site inspections; monitoring reporting, stakeholder engagement, and grievance mechanisms; managing non-compliances with corrective actions; supporting land acquisition processes; coordinating with stakeholders; and producing regular ESHS monitoring reports.

  • Part 3. Supervision during the Commissioning, Defects Liability and Maintenance Period:

Oversee works during the Defects Liability Period by inspecting and supervising repairs, identifying and resolving defects, and ensuring proper completion; prepare regular monitoring and defect reports (quarterly, biannual, and final); verify as-built documentation and final costs; and ensure proper contractor demobilization.

Project Description:

The project outlines a comprehensive assessment and planning effort to strengthen Zambia’s irrigation sector. The consultant is expected to review existing irrigation programs (public, community, and FLID), identify gaps and best practices, and conduct a nationwide baseline survey of irrigation facilities. They will analyze current financing systems and propose sustainable, innovative funding mechanisms tailored to different irrigation types.

The work also includes evaluating project supervision and monitoring methods, reviewing regional irrigation master plans, and setting realistic irrigation expansion targets (hectares, timelines, and costs). The consultant will assess water resources (surface and groundwater), irrigation potential, and overall water use.

Additionally, the consultant will identify sites for dams (10 large, 20 medium, 50 small), develop 10 bankable irrigation projects (one per province), and assess hydro-meteorological infrastructure. They will evaluate irrigation potential by region and typology, support planning tools for sustainable resource use, and contribute to increased agricultural production.

The assignment requires nationwide fieldwork, collaboration with other experts, and delivering actionable recommendations for improving irrigation development, financing, and management.

Services Provided:

  • The consultant shall be required to visit an adequate representation of irrigation schemes in all the provinces to have an understanding of each field scenario and gather all the necessary data needed for the preparation of Irrigation Master Plan.
  • The consultant will be required to prepare and present an inception report one month after award of contract to key stake holders.
  • After half the consultancy time period has elapsed, the consultant will be expected to present a draft report to key stake holders.
  • The consultant will be expected to present the final report three months before expiry of the contract period
  • Payments on this consultancy are tied to delivery of the above milestones.
  • Meeting arrangements and appointments with the relevant stakeholders in the irrigation sector.

The objective of this project is to improve cross-border connectivity along selected road corridors between Cambodia and Viet Nam.

The indicative project components, to be determined and detailed as part of this assignment/ consulting services, are as follows:

  1. the improvement of four NR sections (160 km) to facilitate border connectivity, including: (a) NR 78 (at Ratanakiri), (b) NR 74 (at Kratié), (c) NR 72 (at Tbong Khmum), and (d) NR 2 (at Takéo);
  2. the construction of CBFs at the end of each above-mentioned border road (Oyadav, Trapang Sre, Trapang Plong, and Phnom Den); the CBF may include, among others, immigration building, administration building, different parking areas, main office building, staff accommodation building, and cargo terminal.

Services Provided:

  • Identification and Finalization of CBF Sites and Road Alignment(s).
    • Conduct initial site studies and consult key national and provincial stakeholders on CBF sites and alignments.
    • Establish guiding principles, select evaluation criteria, define the study area, map factors using GIS, and identify potential CBF sites and road alignments.
    • Conduct a multicriteria analysis of options and finalize the preferred option
    • Prepare draft and final CBF Site Location Reports, and Alignment Options and Selection Reports.
  • Conducting Feasibility Studies and Developing Preliminary/ Conceptual Designs and Developing Detailed Engineering Designs for all components.
    • Review of the infrastructure sector and existing reports and data, in the provinces that will include 3CEP components including among others, an assessment of the transport network, logistic facilities, and cross-border infrastructure.
    • Conduct desk studies, condition surveys, and stakeholder consultations to assess existing infrastructure and CBFs.
    • Perform technical assessments, traffic demand forecasts, population projections (2039 & 2054), and climate impact assessments.
    • Develop concept and preliminary designs for roads and CBFs, identify land needs, and prepare detailed engineering designs.
    • Review national E&S regulations against AIIB standards, conduct ESIA, develop ESMP, BRP, EMP, GSIP, SEP, and project-level GRM.
    • Address gaps in existing studies (e.g., Trapang Sre), conduct E&S due diligence for schemes involving past land acquisition.
    • Estimate capital/O&M costs, assess financial and economic viability for CBFs, roads, and overall 3CEP.

The TRSS Project aims to develop the South-South Java Road Corridor to promote sustainable economic growth and reduce poverty in the southern part of Java Island. The project involves development of approximately 159 kms of paved roads and bridges along the Southern Coast of Java Island in three (3) provinces (Central Java, D.I. Yogyakarta and East Java).

The GOI had applied for additional financing (IDN-1053) for the TRSS Phase II Project from the IsDB for the development of road sections in Trans South-South Java corridor, to support recent development in connectivity located in D.I. Yogyakarta and East Java Province. The GOI intends to apply the additional financing, to construct road sections of approximately 68 km to continue the Trans South-South Java corridor development.

Period and the expected output of availability of approximately 68 kms length of roads with 443 m of bridges into the road network system to improve accessibility and connectivity.

Nanyamba:

Makambako:

  1. Upgrading of Urban roads to Asphalt Concrete and drains: The proposed roads (approx. 6.5 km) shall increase connectivity and ease movement within the CBD area. The list of the roads are; Makambako Sec – Bethsaida Road – 2.35km, Kiwanga – Mbeya Road – 1.85km, Mgaya – Mhanze -Soko la Mbao Road – 1.51km and Kambo – Kahawa Pr. School Road – 0.54km.
  2. Construction of Makambako Bus Stand in Kitisi Ward: The existing Bus Stand needs to be upgraded to accommodate the increased passengers/population. It is located at Makambako Urban area on Plot No. 97 with an area of 22,000m2.
  3. Construction of Makambako Central Market in Makambako: Ward The upgrading of Central Market will transform it into a central destination offering a wide range of products sourced from different regions for consumers in the CBD. This project will be located in the Makambako Urban area on Plot No. 126, covering an area of 10,759.48m2.

Mbinga:

  1. Construction of Manzese Central Market in Mbinga Town Ward: The Central Market shall be a hub for general products from various areas to the CBD consumers, to be built at Mbinga Urban Area on Plot No. 620/2 with an area of 12,117 m2.
  2. Construction of Mbinga Town Roads to Bituminous Standard: The proposed roads (approx. 6km) shall increase connectivity and ease movement within the CBD area. The list of the roads is; Mbinga – Liparamba road – 1.89km, Lipembe road 1.5km, Kitanda road 0.51km, Kikwete road- 0.99km and Kaliwainga road -1.1km
  3. Construction of Bus Stand at Lusaka Area in Bethlehemu Ward: Mbinga Town needs a bus stand in order to prevent random and unsafe parking of buses in unplanned areas. It is to be built at Lusaka Mwembe, Mbinga Urban Area on Plot No. 107 with an area of 21,303 m2.
