Project Description :

The objective of this project is to improve cross-border connectivity along selected road corridors between Cambodia and Viet Nam.

The indicative project components, to be determined and detailed as part of this assignment/ consulting services, are as follows:

  1. the improvement of four NR sections (160 km) to facilitate border connectivity, including: (a) NR 78 (at Ratanakiri), (b) NR 74 (at Kratié), (c) NR 72 (at Tbong Khmum), and (d) NR 2 (at Takéo);
  2. the construction of CBFs at the end of each above-mentioned border road (Oyadav, Trapang Sre, Trapang Plong, and Phnom Den); the CBF may include, among others, immigration building, administration building, different parking areas, main office building, staff accommodation building, and cargo terminal.

Services Provided:

  • Identification and Finalization of CBF Sites and Road Alignment(s).
    • Conduct initial site studies and consult key national and provincial stakeholders on CBF sites and alignments.
    • Establish guiding principles, select evaluation criteria, define the study area, map factors using GIS, and identify potential CBF sites and road alignments.
    • Conduct a multicriteria analysis of options and finalize the preferred option
    • Prepare draft and final CBF Site Location Reports, and Alignment Options and Selection Reports.
  • Conducting Feasibility Studies and Developing Preliminary/ Conceptual Designs and Developing Detailed Engineering Designs for all components.
    • Review of the infrastructure sector and existing reports and data, in the provinces that will include 3CEP components including among others, an assessment of the transport network, logistic facilities, and cross-border infrastructure.
    • Conduct desk studies, condition surveys, and stakeholder consultations to assess existing infrastructure and CBFs.
    • Perform technical assessments, traffic demand forecasts, population projections (2039 & 2054), and climate impact assessments.
    • Develop concept and preliminary designs for roads and CBFs, identify land needs, and prepare detailed engineering designs.
    • Review national E&S regulations against AIIB standards, conduct ESIA, develop ESMP, BRP, EMP, GSIP, SEP, and project-level GRM.
    • Address gaps in existing studies (e.g., Trapang Sre), conduct E&S due diligence for schemes involving past land acquisition.
    • Estimate capital/O&M costs, assess financial and economic viability for CBFs, roads, and overall 3CEP.
    • Prepare procurement plans, bid documents, construction prioritization (including 2nd CBF for DED), implementation schedules, manuals, and O&M report.
    • Finalize all required documentation for government and AIIB approval, including public disclosure translations.

Project Description:

The TRSS Project aims to develop the South-South Java Road Corridor to promote sustainable economic growth and reduce poverty in the southern part of Java Island. The project involves development of approximately 159 kms of paved roads and bridges along the Southern Coast of Java Island in three (3) provinces (Central Java, D.I. Yogyakarta and East Java).

The GOI had applied for additional financing (IDN-1053) for the TRSS Phase II Project from the IsDB for the development of road sections in Trans South-South Java corridor, to support recent development in connectivity located in D.I. Yogyakarta and East Java Province. The GOI intends to apply the additional financing, to construct road sections of approximately 68 km to continue the Trans South-South Java corridor development.

Period and the expected output of availability of approximately 68 kms length of roads with 443 m of bridges into the road network system to improve accessibility and connectivity.

Services Provided 

·         Review and Confirmation of Detailed Design

·         Provide construction supervision services of civil works of the highway upgradation project

·         Comprehensive supervision of project implementation activities carried out by the contractor(s)

·         Review, and make modification as necessary to the detailed design for the project and will prepare detailed design for the improvement of intersections, if required.

·         Ensure high standards of quality assurance in execution of works and completion of work within stipulated time limit a

The purpose of the multifunctional facility of international level bus terminal in the KPEC project area of WGP is to generate
an economic and social revival of the area with an optimal generation of revenues.
The Primary objective of the assignment is to prepare a feasibility study and a business plan for establishing a modern
state of the art bus terminal along with allied facilities on a practical and feasible location. The study will include a
masterplan that ensures a flexible and sustainable spatial development for growth of the bus terminal so to be able to

Third Party Validation (TPV) is required to validate/ improve the  studies conducted in year 2018, 2020 and 2021 to determine optimal Route of Rawalpindi Ring Road Economic Corridor by evaluating the conducted/ improved feasibility studies on Technical, Financial and Legal parameters.

 

Prime Minister office directed to conduct third party validation of Rawalpindi ring road project for adoption of optimal route on the existing studies (but not limited to) as follow;

Services Provided:

  • Review of previous studies undertaken and carry out detail optional analysis of all the proposed alignments.
  • Comparison and evaluation of all feasibility’s studies, detailed design and cost estimates of each route.
  • Comparison and validation of the designs as per AASHTO Standards specifications (including AASHTO Green Book) or equivalent applicable on motorways in Pakistan.
  • Validate design as per previous contract agreements between client and consultants.
  • Validation of the traffic study report to assess the impact of the project on decongestion of traffic in twin cities. Conduct new traffic study to assess the accuracy and completeness of traffic data and identify gaps in previous studies.
  • Conduct field surveys of each alignment to assess the existing terrain, waterways, residential properties, agricultural land, and religious sites etc. to assess the design parameters.
  • Financial assessment of the existing proposed alignments in terms of economy, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate, analyze and compare all financial parameters of design using financial techniques but not limited to cost benefit ratio, payback and value for money analysis in context with financing mode of project Government funding, foreign bank soft loan and Public Private Partnership(PPP).
  • The consultant shall ascertain the concept of economic corridor alongside of Rawalpindi Ring Road and develop a conceptual plan for each alignment to assess the benefits of economic corridor alongside Rawalpindi Ring Road for public interest at large.

Project Description:

The project consist of a 3.5-kilometer e-bus green mobility pilot corridor and 2 depots to reduce congestion in the city center, demonstrate improved traffic and parking management and to increase bus speed and service reliability. This will include (i) optimized locations and upgrade of bus stops along the pilot corridor; (ii) redesign of some of the intersections, traffic channelization, and minor road works; (iii) upgrade of the traffic signal system with optimized timing and synchronization; (iv) improved parking management measures; and (v) improvements for non-motorized transport (pedestrians and cyclists). Upgraded bus stops will incorporate security features to protect women and vulnerable groups.

The project has the following outputs;

(1) upgrade of zero-emission tailpipe bus fleet in Bishkek municipality; (ii) upgrade of bus depot infrastructure; (iii) establish of pilot green mobility corridor; and (iv)improve of Bishkek bus operation sustainability.

This project is executed according to the FIDIC General Conditions of Contract.

Services Provided:

  • Design Review and Compliance: Review and approval of Contractor’s drawings and quality control of works for compliance with design.
  • Project Management and Construction Supervision: responsible for assisting the Client/Employer with project management and the construction supervision of the Works contract. Provide support in overall coordination and management of the project including, progress and performance monitoring and reporting, contract administration and management, financial management, environmental and safeguards compliance and training and necessary assistance to the Client and other government staff to ensure effective project implementation. Project Description

The Electricity Transmission Project (ETP) will focus on the design and construction of approximately 315 km of a double-circuit 400 kV transmission line (including some quad-circuit towers) to provide a vital missing link of different river basins to the existing high voltage grid in Nepal. The alignment of the transmission line and segments were selected following careful analyses and feasibility studies that weighed both technical and economic merits, the importance in meeting Nepal’s medium and long-term electricity supply goals, and consistency with Nepal’s domestic and cross-border transmission investment plans. Project objectives are to develop and implement all aspects of the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) and develop, supervise the implementation of the Livelihood Restoration Plans (LRP) for the project in accordance with IFC Performance Standard 5 on Land Acquisition and Involuntary Resettlement for three segments of transmission line alignments of ETP in order to support affected person/households to improve or restore their livelihood to at least pre-project levels. Additionally, MCC Policy on Gender and Social Inclusion, on Counter Trafficking in Persons and the provisions of IFC PS 7 (where appropriate) must be mainstreamed throughout the process using the protocols developed for the project and which are required under the terms of contract, as defined in the project Environmental and Social, Health and Safety Management Plan (ESHSMP).

Project involves with;

1) Municipal roads : Construction / pavement of local roads will include design elements (such as bicycle lanes and energy efficient street lighting for disaster prevention and to mitigate climate change) and materials intended for prevailing and changing of frequency climate events to prevent shortening of road life cycles and/or temporary loss of accessibility. The design of road and its elements will be based on future traffic projections and road safety principles, sound pavement, earthquake and flood resistant bridges, access to nearby properties etc.

2) Storm water drainage: Construction, rehabilitation or increased capacity of storm water drainage in roads will contribute to better flood risk reduction.

3) Street lights: Installation of solar powered street lighting systems will contribute to renewable energy generation, thus reducing GHG emissions.

4) Project may have few potential investments in water sector, waste water sector and solid waste management sector as well that are not identified yet.
