Project Description:
Design and Supervision of Batinah Expressway Package 5 and 6 has 86 Km to be built and 46 km link roads to be upgraded and dualized. Starts from the end of Muscat expressway. The alignment runs rearly parallel to the existing Batinah dual carriageway at a distance varying between 5 km and 20 km approximately on the mountain side, and ends near the Oman – UAE border at Khatmat Malaha.

7 Interchanges(total 540 m) – Directional bridges(total 507.2 m),
7 River Bridges and Railway Bridge(1 Bridge 657.5m, 1 Bridge 492.5m, 1 Bridge 228.5m, 1 Bridge 360.5m, 1
Bridge 195.5m, 1 Bridge 228.5m, 1 Bridge 261.5m)
3 flyovers(total 180 m) and 6 underpasses(total 261.6 m),
Culverts, retaining and flood protection/training works
Toll plazas including operating systems for the revenue collection
Park Areas, Rest Areas and Service Areas

Sultanate of Oman Standard Documents for Building and Civil Engineering Works (both the third edition 1981 and the fourth edition 1999 are widely used) with risk allocation broadly following that of the FIDIC Red Book (Employer designs; contractor builds) all the works necessary for the construction and operation of the expressway.Link Roads.
